Kelly Rees, BDS (Liverpool) 1999, GDC 76310

Principal Dentist and Owner

Kelly Rees is the principal dentist and owner of Central Dental Care. Following A-level studies at Prestatyn High School, Kelly completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Liverpool University in 1999.

Kelly has continued with post graduate training throughout her many years working as an associate. She is committed to keeping up to date with all aspects of general dentistry. Kelly has completed facial aesthetics courses and has recently completed an implant restoration course.

When not working , Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Medical Aesthetics

Kate Kelso is a dental surgeon whose practice is limited to medical facial aesthetics. Kate qualified with Kelly from Liverpool University in 1999. Following qualification she spent a number of years in the hospital service as SHO and Staff Grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where she completed her Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) membership examinations, and in general dental practice providing family dentistry services.

Kate started practicing facial aesthetics when she was working for a national cosmetic surgery group in 2007. In 2019 Kate decided to focus her clinical practice on facial aesthetics and gained a university-accredited Level 7 PGCert in Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics at Salford University. This is the gold-standard qualification level in facial aesthetics.

Kate enjoys medical writing and contributes regularly to professional journals. She has several peer-reviewed publications in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing.

Offering bespoke, tailored medical injectable treatments, Kate’s ethic in aesthetics is to provide natural results, using premium products in a safe and effective way.

Kate doesn’t have time for her own hobbies, but in her ‘free time’ she runs around after her children and does the laundry.

Stephen Kelso, BDS (Belfast) 1997 MFDS RCPS, GDC 73558

Oral Surgeon and Implantologist

Stephen Kelso completed his BDS in Queens University, Belfast, in 1997 with distinctions. After completing a Vocational Training year in general practice he moved to Liverpool to work in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Aintree Hospitals. Here he worked as an SHO in oral and maxillofacial surgery, trained by several renowned consultants, and gained his MFDS RCPS qualification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.

Stephen has since limited his practice to dental implants and oral surgery. He has travelled globally to train in specialised implant techniques with internationally acclaimed implantologists, and is constantly updating and supplementing his knowledge and techniques, continually keeping up to date with current research developments. He is a mentor for the Straumann implant system, training other dentists in all aspects of implant placement and restoration. 

Stephen's philosophy is to provide a first class service to his patients, in a relaxed and friendly manner.

With two decades of experience in providing dental implants, Stephen has placed and restored thousands, and has performed many more oral surgery procedures. His implant success rate is exceptional. He is very highly regarded by fellow professionals and patients alike and has built an excellent and well-deserved reputation.

Jack Pilkington-Jones, BDS (Cardiff) 2018, GDC 278402

Associate Dental Surgeon

Jack graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 2018 and has since been working as an Associate Dentist in North Wales. He prides himself on having a calm and caring manner and providing the best possible care for all of his patients. He is passionate about providing patient-tailored care and achieving the best long-term outcomes.

Jack particularly enjoys root canal treatment and is soon to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics with the University of Chester. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and squash, and going for countryside walks with his wife and miniature goldendoodle, Bella.

Megan Ellis, BDS (Cardiff) 2023, GDC 308741

Associate Dental Surgeon

After completing her A-Levels in North Wales Megan went on to study Dentistry in Cardiff University in 2017. Returning to her hometown in North Wales shortly after qualification.

Megan has spent time overseas volunteering in deprived countries, delivering oral health education and treatments. She has a keen passion for helping people and combatting dental anxiety, ensuring all her patients are treated with utmost respect, care and compassion.

In her free time, Megan loves to go to the gym and spending time with her family. She has a particular passion for travelling the world.

Lorraine Jacobs, Diploma in Hygiene (Birmingham) 2002, GDC 6301

Hygienist

Lorraine Jacobs is a qualified dental hygienist and dental nurse, she also holds a BSc in Science with Education Studies.

Lorraine has worked in several practices across the North Wales and Chester area. She continues to expand her scope of practice having recently completed a course in clinical photography. Lorraine is also qualified in tooth whitening.

In her spare time, Lorraine likes to read, bake and continues with refurbishment of her home.

Sarah Oliver, GDC 125729

Dental Nurse

Sarah Oliver is a dental nurse with over three decades of experience working in practices along the North Wales coast. Sarah qualified in 1998 and has a special interest in dental implants and sedation. She has recently completed courses in impression taking, intraoral scanning and dental photography. Sarah is committed to providing the highest quality of care and compassion for all her patients.

When not working or undertaking further training, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

Rebecca Bell, GDC 123058

Dental Nurse

Rebecca Bell is a qualified dental nurse with over 20 years experience, having worked with Kelly for the last 15 years. Becky enjoys cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics, continuing to expand her knowledge via various CPD courses.

In her spare time Becky enjoys going to the gym and being mum to her two young children.

Linsey Kelly, GDC 173276

Practice Manager

Linsey Kelly is our Practice manager at Central Dental Care. She qualified in dental nursing in 2006, having many years of experience in both nursing and practice management. Linsey has recently completed further training in management and is keen to bring her skills to the practice.

When not working, Linsey enjoys walking her dog with the family, going to the gym with her sister and bringing up her two children.

Channing Wynne-Thomas, GDC 274187

Dental Nurse

Channing is a qualified dental nurse with over 7 years experience. Channing is qualified in taking impressions and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry.

When not working, Channing likes walking her dog with family & being a mum to her little boy.

Cindy Banks

Receptionist

Cindy Banks has close to 30 years experience working as a dental receptionist and is committed to providing a first class experience with us. Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 grown up daughters and is thrilled to be helping with her new grandson when she’s not working.

Lois Banks

Receptionist

Lois Banks is a receptionist at Central Dental Care. She gained a first class degree in Business Studies at Bangor University and has gained valuable experience working in call centres and administration roles. Lois is delighted to bring her skills to the team at Central Dental are.

In her free time, Lois enjoys reading, stargazing and spending time with her young son.
